Equus were employed to produce the Design drawings for the Farm in Berkshire, home of Green gates Polo. The remit was to provide an open feel for 40 horses that just oozed style and function, the design reflected the planning restraints on the farm and as such we were able to have a successful planning application at the first attempt. Equus has designed the structure to be full of natural light and free flowing air.
The project has taken 9 months to complete and is of truly exceptional quality, steel frame with handmade clay tiles and literally miles of beautiful external and internal timber cladding, the stables supplied and fitted by one of our brand partners Rower and Rub. The stables all have drinkers and swivel mangers sealed and bonded rubber floors for horse comfort, rubber block paving for the internal yard and the walkways making a busy yard extremely safe for horse and groom.
Two external wash-down bays help keep the mess outside the yard, as well as four well-proportioned tack rooms and feed room, four WC’s and a very well-appointed office.
This project was an absolute pleasure to build and such an incredible facility, we thank our client for allowing us free reign on the design. As one our recent visitors and very well-respected polo players said, “these stables are next level”! We wish “Green gates “ the greatest of success in the 2024 season.
